This is a nice campground set in the back country around Strasburg. The campground has paved roads. Sites can be grouped in a shady area and a sunny area. The shady sites are set with a gravel base with grass surrounding. The sunny sites are all grass, many in an open field. We had a site in the shady section with full hookups. The roads in the shady section are narrow and maneuvering is tight. Many sites were taken by seasonal campers and many of those campers are quite old. The campground itselfs was well maintained. Very few people were there during mid-week. The campground has an office with a rather well stocked store, a couple of playgrounds and a bathhouse. The bathhouse was clean and well kept. There is no swimming pool.

Campground roads are paved, most loops need re-paving. Sites are back-in with a gravel base. High degree of trees and underbrush gives good privacy between sites. Some sites border on the gorge leading to a 500' dropoff at the edge of your site. There is a fence, but I wouldn't want to be in those sites with small children. Comfort stations were not clean, but we had rain and wet weather for most of the time there. It was very difficult to keep them clean. Our site and many others had standing water from the rain. We were walking through mud most of our time there. If you have a site with good drainage, things should be good. The campground was very quiet at night, in spite of being full. Letchworth Park itself is huge and beautiful. We couldn't see all we wanted to see in 4 nights there. We'll have to go back again, and will do so happily, but I've already scoped out dry sites for next time!

The park has excellent paved roads. Sites are grassy. Small trees dot sites placed in large fields. Some have an outstanding view of Lake Ontario. 200 loop sites are larger than 100 loop. The 100 loop looked cramped to me. Water spigots are placed at frequent intervals around each loop. One may refill water tanks, but not be hooked up. Campground admission allows free admission to any other state park for the duration of your camping stay. Many are in the area, including Niagara Falls State Park. Old Fort Niagara is a short drive away and an excellent stop. There is a public pool available there. We enjoyed our time at Four Mile Creek Campground and would return again.

Office staff were friendly and helpful. The park itself is beautiful with many roads and trails. It's a bicyclist's heaven. Nice playground available for the kids. The sites are gravel pads surrounded by grass and quite spacious. Five loops are with electric, and each loop has it's own bathhouse. In loop 5, the men's side showers had no privacy changing area, only a small shower area with a door. Women's side did have privacy changing area. Don't know if other loops would be different. The bathhouse could have been cleaned more frequently, although it was a rainy weekend. Park regulations are enforced. Quiet hours are quiet, and posted speed signs are observed. We found that to be a positive.

This was a very quiet park. Friendly staff and friendly fellow campers made for a wonderful camping experience for us. We stayed a week, and paid the $189 weekly rate. Prices are in Canadian dollars. A lower rate is available for tent sites. Toronto attractions are nearby and easy to get to by car or public transportation.

We live about 2 hours away from Six Flags Darien Lake. We've visited the theme park many times. This was our first time camping there. Our campgrround nightly rate was actually $125 for 4 people. This includes admission to the theme park for the duration of your stay. We find the Darien Lake personnel to be friendly and helpful. At one point, our 10 year old daughter slipped and skinned her knee fairly badly on the gravel. We didn't have bandages large enough to cover the wound. We called the first aid number and asked for a ride for her to the first aid station. An EMT showed up at our site within 3 to 4 minutes and had her cleaned and bandaged right at the site. Our site was not particularly clean. Used nylon ties, cigarette butts, beer bottle caps and small pieces of broken glass littered the site. We didn't find the glass until after set-up. The kids were put on clean-up detail. We left the site better than we found it. We got little sleep during the night. The site just behind us had a group of partying 25ish tenters. The party lasted the night. This was not the only party underway at the campground. We could hear others in the distance. Park management didn't seem to do anything to enforce quiet hours. We will not rate a park very highly at all if we can't get the sleep we need. We would rate the park higher if they would enforce quiet hours.

Trains!! Those confounded trains! This would be a terrific park but for the trains. Actually, they don't bother my wife as much as they do me. Easy access to Hershey attractions, great discount prices. This park was QUIET at night (except for trains), very considerate neighbors, nice bathrooms, friendly employees and our daughter loves the pools. We just have a great time at this park. Our second time here in 2 years.

This is an RV park, not a campground. It is basically a parking lot for RV's, each about 15 feet wide, no space between sites. Roads are paved, sites are gravel. No grass, no green, no recreation. Our big complaint was with the cleanliness of the bathhouses. We stayed at this facility 3 nights, the bathhouses were cleaned the day of our 3rd night. We were looking at the same litter in the toilet stalls and the same used band-aids on the shower floors during the time we were there. There are many street lights on all night in the vacinity, making for bright nights in a tent camper. Most sites were filled with big rigs, light most likely won't be a problem in that situation. On the plus side, very convenient to New York City. The Statue of Liberty is visible from your campsite. A ferry docks right at the marina associated with the RV park, it was within sight distance and easy walking distance. Cost is $4.00 per person per one way trip. The ferry will deliver you to a dock at Wall St. on Manhattan. A PATH station is available about 5 blocks away. Cost is $1.50 per one way trip. Cost savings would be significant over multiple days and for families with children. The PATH train has different trains that would take you to WTC ground zero or as far as 33rd St. at Broadway.

The owners were friendly, and easy to work with. The park had many seasonal tenants, they were also friendly when you met them. There was no pool, but they were in the process of adding one when we were there. However, the money spent on the pool should have been spent on bathhouses for the property. There were only two rooms that had a total of 4 toilets, one each for men and women at each location. These rooms only had a toilet and a sink. We stayed 4 nights, one of the rooms had a sewage blockage and was closed on our 3rd night, the other was blocked on the 4th night and also closed, leaving us with no flush toilets at all in the campground. They had 2 other locations that had a "3 holer" on the mens side and a "4 holer" on the womens side. The shower house was just that...3 showers and 3 sinks per side. These were the only showers for the entire campground. The shower house was also a considerable distance from our site. We drove to use the showers or bathrooms. Other than the bathhouses, we enjoyed our stay. We had a site that was on the banks of the Clyde River, we could fish from our picnic table on our site. The other river bank was the Montezuma Wildlife Preserve, which is wonderful. It was possible to see Bald Eagles and Osprey Eagles fishing from the river in the early morning and late evening. The primary activity during our weekend was the fishing derby. They had 2 separate competitions, one for adults and another for children. The competition was fierce but friendly. We were able to interact with other campers to a greater degree than we have at other campgrounds because of the fishing derby. Fish stories abounded the whole weekend. I would have rated this campground much higher except for the bathhouse situation. We enjoyed our stay very much otherwise.

This campground was built for children! I have not seen the activities available at this campground anywhere else. Nightly rate is high, but includes all the activities. There are numerous playground areas of different types. The main playground has a sand pile adjacent, that is the mother of all sand piles. It appears the owners were trying to import an ocean beach. Another playground area has a slide that is akin to one that you would see in a county fair amusement area. They have 2 18 hole mini golf courses... free. They also have a small gauge train that can be ridden, and the track goes quite a ways through the woods. Again, no charge. There is also a tractor that pulled train of cars shaped as bugs that tours the campground fields. We stayed only one night, but arrived just before check-in and stayed until check-out the next day. Our daughter wouldn't have let us leave a minute early. The campground personnel are friendly. The roads are gravel, sites are grass or gravel. Some are more level than others. Big rigs might have some difficulties here.
